Man Utd star Fernandes: Solskjaer tells me to take risks

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes says that his manager tells him to take risks on the field.

Fernandes has helped United to an 18 match unbeaten run in all competitions.

It is a run that has seen them climb closer to the top four, as they are a single point off third place with three games remaining.

Asked about what he gets told by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of matches, and his thoughts on his start with the club, Fernandes told reporters: "I feel proud from the team, because I think one player can change everything a lot.

"Of course I help the team. The team was good before because no team can be so good now and so bad in the past, you know. It's not about this, it's about the confidence, it's about results.

"We have such good qualities on the team, so for the position I play, having players in front who can score, who can get a lot of goals, is easier for me.

"I'm a risk player, I take risks. I want to take risks every time and I will take the risk every time.

"I will lose a lot of balls, I will misplace a lot of passes but I know when I find my strikers, my wingers, they will score.

On manager Solskjaer's advice, he said: "He talks with me before and after the game and tells me 'you took a lot of risks in this game, and I don't care, you need to keep trying because this is the kind of game we need sometimes.'

"Because in this moment, maybe I am different from some players. I risk, sometimes I miss, but I will risk again."
