Bruno Fernandes has rejected a new contract at Sporting CP.

The midfielder's decision has put Manchester United and Tottenham on alert.

Both Premier League clubs considered moves for the Portugal star in the summer but had to look at other areas first, says the Daily Express.

However with both struggling this term they could be tempted to reignite their interest in January.

Fernandez, 25, has scored five times in eight games for Sporting so far this season.
