Manchester United have joined the interest in Portimonese winger Shoya Nakajima.

The Japan international emerged as a target for Leicester City last month, with the Foxes having scouted him regularly this season.

However, Leicester's interest has since gone cold after being referred to the player's £36m buyout clause.

O Jogo says United and Southampton are now interested in Nakajima.

Both Premier League clubs had scouts in place when Portimonense played Benfica on Wednesday to see Nakajima.

The 24-year-old's contract with Portimonense runs to 2020.
