Manchester United are being linked with a surprise move for Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez.

Okdiario says United have tabled an opening offer for the Colombia captain, who has been encouraged to find himself a new club by Real coach Zinedine Zidane.

United have made a €25m cash offer for the midfielder.

With less than a year to run on his contract and not in the plans of Zidane, Real are eager to find a buyer for the 29 year-old.

United and Real have agreed nothing will be finalised until their respective European campaigns are completed next month. Along with United, Atletico Madrid are also watching developments closely.
