Manchester United captain Gary Neville enjoyed seeing Liverpool's Champions League hopes end on Tuesday night.

After their own home defeat to Besiktas, their first in 24 matches, Neville diverted attention away from United - and on to bitter rivals Liverpool who crashed out of the Champions League 24 hours earlier.

When asked what he thought of Liverpool's demise, he said: "You get what you deserve as a team, don't you?"
