Manchester United are emerging as a candidate to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Liverpool were the red hot favourites to sign the Germany international, as Jurgen Klopp is a huge fan.
But recent reports in the British media intimate that the Reds are not going to pay the player's buyout clause.
And now ESPN claims that Man United are eager to jump in and secure the player's signature.
Werner is 24 and would be a young signing in the mold that Solskjaer has been making with United in the past 12 months.
He has a £52 million buyout clause that reportedly expires sometime in June.
