Manchester United could receive a favourable group in next season's UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils are in pot two for the group stages after losing the Europa League final on penalties to Villarreal.

Pot 1 usually has the best teams, as it contains league winners and the two European competition winners from this season.

However, the pot includes Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lille, Sporting CP and Villarreal this time around.

United would fancy taking on most of those sides, excluding Bayern, in the group stages.
