Manchester United set a record for penalties earned in a season against Sevilla in the Europa League.

The Red Devils fell 2-1 in the semi finals, despite taking the lead from a Bruno Fernandes spot kick.

It was the 22nd time the team had won a penalty throughout the season.

It is the most from a team in the top five leagues in Europe since Barcelona in 2014-2015, when they earned 24.

14 of the penalties were during league matches, while the rest came in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.
