Man Utd sent scouts to watch Juventus midfielder Rabiot in France defeat

Manchester United sent scouts to watch Adrien Rabiot play for France against Switzerland.

The Juventus midfielder was deployed in an unfamiliar left-wing back role as Didier Deschamps opted for a 3-4-1-2 formation.

The evening ended in heartbreak for France as they blew a 3-1 lead before eventually losing on penalties.

And the Daily Star says a scout from United was in attendance to run the rule over Rabiot.

Having failed to live up to expectations at Juve since joining from PSG in 2019, it is believed Rabiot is available this summer.

United are in the market for a midfielder this summer, although the interest in Rabiot has come as a surprise.

The 26-year-old made a total of 47 appearances last campaign, contributing five goals and three assists.
