Manchester United's new contract talks with Antonio Valencia have stalled.
The Daily Mail says it is understood negotiations have now been shelved until the start of the season.
The Ecuador winger, who flew home from United's tour of the US with an ankle injury this week, had seen initial talks in June hit a snag over image rights.
Valencia, 25, is halfway through the £50,000-a-week, four-year deal he signed after a £16million move from Wigan Athletic in 2009 and was praised by Sir Alex Ferguson for his quick recovery from a broken ankle last season.
