Manchester United are keen to avoid another Paul Pogba scenario with Luca Ercolani.
The Old Trafford club have offered the 19-year-old a new two-year deal to avoid him walking away from the club for nothing. Ercolani was a vital part of United's UEFA Youth League side last season and was a regular for the Under-23s.
However, according to TMW in Italy, Ercolani is in 'substantial' demand in his homeland.
A number of teams from both Serie A and Serie B are reportedly interested in adding him to their squads next season.
The likes of SPAL, Empoli, Ascoli and Bari are all mooted as being keen to take Ercolani for next term.
All would be more able to hand him a pathway to first-team football than United right now.
