Manchester United have scouts in place to watch Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma this season.

The Japanese has been an outstanding attacker for the Albion this term, excelling under boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Mitoma was signed by Brighton from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale for just £2.7 million two years ago.

Per The Sun, United are now interested in bringing him to Old Trafford in the summer.

The tricky attacker, who is 25, has six goals and three assists in 20 games this term.

He has also managed to create 21 chances in those games, after only making his full debut for the club in August.
