Manchester United are weighing up a surprise move for Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.
The Albanian international stopper has been scouted regularly by United this season with discussions now taking place about tabling an offer to Verona in the coming days.
l'Arena reports Kumbulla first came to the attention of United in preseason during a friendly against Hoffenheim. Scouts had been posted to watch Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch, but came away raving about Kumbulla.
Currently rated at €15m, Kumbulla is also on the radar of Juventus, though any move from the Bianconeri is unlikely to happen until the summer.
While an Albania international, the 19 year-old Kumbulla was born and raised in Italy.
