Manchester United head of global scouting Marcel Bout is tracking Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Odegaard.

Bout was photographed watching Real Sociedad's La Liga match with Valencia on Saturday.

An image posted on social media showed Bout in attendance at Anoeta Stadium as Sociedad eased past Valencia 3-0 with a comfortable home win.

El Diario Vasco says the Dutchman was specifically in attendance to watch Norwegian midfielder Odegaard feature for Sociedad. In December, Bout was spotted watching Erling Haaland start in his final game for Red Bull Salzburg against Liverpool days before United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer met with the player's entourage.

Odegaard is in the first of two season loan at La Real from Real Madrid.
