Manchester United are in talks with Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
The Argentine would arrive as cover for David de Gea and would allow Anders Lindegaard to move on.
United boss Louis van Gaal is keen for the deal to happen and talks are now underway with Samp over an outright deal.
The Dutchman had Ben Amos on the bench for the draw at Burnley on Saturday.
Samp are happy for Romero to move on after his spell with AS Monaco last season.
