Man Utd's Pereira has opened talks with PSV

The father and agent of Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has confirmed that he has begun negotiations with PSV Eindhoven.

The 19-year old Belgium-born Brazilian midfielder is fed up at Old Trafford after being given very limited chances by Louis van Gaal and is set to depart the club in the summer.

Pereira has been linked with Dutch pair PSV and Feyenoord with the former already making contact according with their former youth academy star.

"It is true that we talk to PSV," said the player's dad and representative Marcos Pereira.

"PSV have contacted our representatives. The intention is that they will soon go to the table with PSV.

"The situation is such that the contract of Andreas with Manchester United after the season ending.

"Our business representatives are in talks with the club over a new contract, but Andreas ready to play and looking for playing time.

"If that is not at Manchester United, but at another club. PSV is taking a very serious option.

"It is a top club and Andreas has always loved playing. Contacts with PSV have always been good and the door is always open for a return."
