Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has joined Birmingham City on loan.

The 22-year old Italian will spend the remainder of the season at St Andrew's after spending time with Doncaster Rovers earlier this campaign.

Macheda will be added to Lee Clark's squad as the Blues look to push further away from the relegation zone.

A permanent move away from Old Trafford in the summer looks likely for Macheda.
