Man Utd revive push for Atletico Madrid attacker Saul

Manchester United are reviving their interest in Atletico Madrid attacker Saul Niguez.

The Daily Star says United targeted the Spanish international last summer but failed to strike a deal for the £70m-rated midfielder.

But Old Trafford bosses believe Atletico's shock exit from the Champions League at the hands of RB Leipzig will boost their chances of luring Niguez to Manchester.

Niguez, 25, is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Europe and is believed to be considering his future at the Spanish outfit.

He fears Atletico's lack of spending power might see him fail to win the biggest trophies if he remains with Diego Simeone's men.

United would be willing to hand Niguez a long term deal worth £150,000-a-week and the prospect of playing alongside the likes of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes appeals to him.
