Manchester United have held a fresh round of talks with Benfica for Victor Lindelof.
The Mirror says United have held fresh talks over a £40m move for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.
Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira is holding out £50m which is the buy-out clause in Lindelof's contract but United are confident they can reach a compromise.
United moved for the 22-year-old Swedish defender in January but could not reach an agreement and there is still a sticking point.
But Benfica are close to agreement on paying Lindelof's former club Vasteras a £3.5m compensation package to overcome the sell-on agreement.
