Manchester United are pushing hard to settle terms with David de Gea over a new deal.
United are desperate to keep the Spaniard, who is eyeing a £350,000-a-week contract.
The Sun says United will attempt to thrash out an agreement with the keeper's representatives before the end of this season.
Further talks were held last month but the sides are locked in a stalemate.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's arrival as interim boss has turned United's season around and 28-year-old De Gea is understood to now be optimistic about their ambitions.
But so far United's offers have not met their star's demands. They have triggered a contract extension to keep him at Old Trafford until summer 2020.
