Manchester United remain in the hunt for West Ham defender Issa Diop.

France Football says United's hopes of signing Diop from West Ham appear to have increased.

The Hammers are demanding a whopping £75m - more than treble what they paid for Diop a year ago.

Despite West Ham's tough stance, France Football suggest a deal could instead be finalised for around £58m.

That would still earn the east Londoners more than double the fee they spent on Diop.

And a fresh attempt from United to sign Diop is expected in the coming days.
