Man Utd receive huge setback in pursuit of RB Leipzig attacker Nkunku

Manchester United are unlikely to succeed with a move for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku.

The Frenchman had one of the best seasons of his career last term, scoring at nearly a goal a game the entire campaign.

United missed out on Benfica's Darwin Nunez, who has signed for Liverpool.

And now The Independentstates that Leipzig want around £100 million for Nkunku.

Such a fee would put him out of United's price range, as they are keen to strengthen in several positions this summer.

Their primary target is still Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, who has worked with new manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
