Man Utd recall Kovar from Swindon loan

Manchester United have recalled goalkeeper Matej Kovar from his loan with Swindon Town.

The 20-year-old agreed a one-year loan deal back in the summer but has seen his time at the County Ground cut short at the League One side, says the Manchester Evening News.

Kovar, who was experiencing his first loan-spell away from United, started brightly for Swindon but made just one clean sheet in his 20 appearances for the club.

The U23s goalkeeper will now return to Carrington while the club consider possibly sending him out on another Football League loan for the remainder of the season.

Swindon are looking to replace Kovar before the weekend with local reports suggesting Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers is expected to sign as a replacement for the Czech youngster.
