Borussia Dortmund managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke has confirmed Erling Haaland's contract carries a buyout clause.
The option is expected to come into effect at the end of this season and is worth €65-75m, amid interest from Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Watzke admits they want a decision from Haaland about his future soon to help with their long-term planning.
"I think we will speak in the next few weeks," said Watzke.
"We are not alone in control. We are a bit dependent on signs coming from him and his advisor (Mino Raiola).
"There is no pressure to negotiate that we now have to extend the contract."
The crucial question - and Watzke confirmed an important detail - was: "Does he trigger the clause or doesn't he?
"Though we're not trying (hoping) to find out until March or April."
