Manchester United are emerging as suitors for Tottenham star Christian Eriksen.

The Danish attacking midfielder only has a year left on his contract this summer.

It means that Spurs will look to cash in should they be unable to agree to a renewal early in the transfer window.

And the Evening Standard is reporting that United will rival Real Madrid for Eriksen's signature.

A possibility exists of Paul Pogba moving to Real and United attempting to sign Eriksen as his replacement.

For their part, Spurs are still hopeful of securing 27-year-old Eriksen to a new contract.
