Manchester United have struck contract terms with Juventus veteran Mario Mandzukic.
The Daily Mail says United are on the brink of completing the signing of Mandzukic from Juventus.
The Croatian striker has agreed personal terms with United until 2022 and will earn £6.2million a year - a 35 per cent increase to the wage he was on at Juventus.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Mandzukic as the ideal replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is still expected to leave before Thursday's deadline.
Juventus were more than willing to offload Mandzukic this summer after it was determined he would not suit Maurizio Sarri's style of play.
They will seek £15m to sell the veteran.
