Manchester United are pushing to cut loose Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The 2014 World Cup winner is adamant that he wants to see out the remaining 18 months of his £190,000 a week contract.

But he is in demand from the MLS where he has had Chicago Fire, New York City, Orlando City and LA Galaxy all enquired if he is interested in a move to the States.

The Sunday Express says United are willing to let Schweinsteiger leave on a free transfer and have already written him off from their latest set of accounts.
