Man Utd pressure kicks Laporta into action over three Barcelona youngsters

New Barcelona president Joan Laporta is aiming to upgrade the contracts of three of their young players - amid pressure from Manchester United.

Ousmane Dembele, Oscar Mingueza and Ilaix Moriba are all set to be offered new terms by Laporta's management team.

Sport via Voetbalzone says Barca wish to enter talks with Dembele about a contract extension, with his current deal to expire in 2022. Barca are making their move knowing Manchester United are in contact with Dembele's minders.

United are also interested in young teammate Ilaix and like Dembele, he is contracted to 2022. As such, Barca's new front office plan to offer him fresh terms.

For Mingueza things are more acute, with the defender's deal to expire in June. The defender has been a revelation since earning promotion from Barca B earlier this season. But due to the club's presidential election, negotiations over a new contract have stalled.

Indeed, the Spain U21 international stated last week he was yet to hear from Barca about new terms.
