Manchester United boss David Moyes is planning a double raid on Southampton this summer. The Mail on Sunday says it now seems highly likely that United will attempt a £40 million double bid for Southampton's emerging England players Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.
Although Chelsea have appeared favourites to sign Shaw because the 18-year-old grew up in Cobham, where the club train, there are suggestions the player could be wary of moving to the Blues because of Jose Mourinho's whims and distrust of young defenders.
In that respect, United are more likely to offer a first team berth straight away.
