Manchester United are eyeing AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
Gazetta dello Sport says with his contract winding down, Calhanoglu has rejected a first offer from the Rossonero.
The Turkey international is off contract in June and can commit to a pre-contract with with a foreign team from January 1. Milan's opening proposal of €3m-a-year has been turned down.
Calhanoglu is currently on €2.5m-a-year and a further meeting with the Rossonero is scheduled in November.
United are also keen to speak with the player and his agents, with a five-year contract offer being drawn up.
