Lingard got on the scoresheet as United secured a 7-1 aggregate win and a place in the Europa League quarter-finals.
But the 27-year-old was disappointed after getting dragged shortly after equalising in the second-half.
He told BT Sport: "I was enjoying the game and I enjoy football matches. I felt like I could score more today but obviosuly it's the manager's decision and I stand by that."
On scoring, Lingard added: "Of course, you take confidence from goals. I wanted to add goals this season and hopefully now I can carry on throughout the rest of this competition."
