Man Utd players happy to see Alexis gone: He's no Messi!

Manchester United player support the decision to ship Alexis Sanchez out on loan to Inter Milan this summer.

The 30-year-old, who has joined the Italians on loan for the rest of the season, scored just five goals in 45 appearances for United after arriving as their highest-paid player from Arsenal in January 2018.

Sanchez, earning a reported £400,000 a week, came in for heavy criticism and was this season deemed surplus to requirements by Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Sun says United's first team players are glad to see the back of the Chilean and believe the forward was "wildly overpaid" and "undeserving of his mammoth salary".

The paper has also claimed that one player repeatedly complained: “He was no Messi so why pay him all that dough".
