Manchester United are putting together a bid for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The Manchester Evening News says United are working on a deal to sign Phillips.
United are in dire need of a holding midfielder to offer protection to the back four and help progress play up the pitch.
It's claimed United are 'advancing on an intended deal to sign Phillips' as he prepares to leave Leeds this summer for a club offering European football.
Jude Bellingham is also of interest but it is unlikely Borussia Dortmund would allow him to leave Germany in the same summer as Erling Haaland - who is expected to join Manchester City or Real Madrid.
