Manchester United are looking to remove some high earners from their wage bill.
The Sun claim United are preparing to pay off Alexis Sanchez and Marcos Rojo.
Both players are on big contracts, which means a straight transfer may not be possible.
United would either pay them off entirely, or pay part of their salary, depending on what clubs show an interest in the players.
An Old Trafford source - quoted by The Sun - said: "There's a few players that want to go but they will need paying off to get them out.
"It won't come cheap and it will affect certain things in the transfer market. There are plans already been put in place.
"The club are setting aside a contingency fund to get certain players moving out in the summer.
"Rojo only signed a new contract last summer after running down the previous one.
"He knows he is in a strong position."
