Manchester United are ready to swoop for Sheffield Wednesday striker George Hirst.
The Mirror says Hirst, son of former Wednesday favourite David, had been tipped to join Leicester City but now looks set to join Manchester United.
Sir Alex Ferguson famously failed to sign Hirst's dad, who made 294 appearances for the Owls in the 1980s and '90s.
But Mourinho is confident of going one better by landing Hirst junior – with Wednesday only due compensation.
Despite a near-done deal at Leicester, the teenager's representatives have signalled that Old Trafford is the England Under-19 international's favoured destination.
