Manchester United have refused to pay compensation to AFC Bournemouth fans for last season's abandoned Premier League clash at Old Trafford.
United were scheduled to play the Cherries in their final home game of the 2015/16 season on May 15, but the game was called off after a bomb threat.
Eventually, it turned out that the dummy bomb was left in the bathroom as part of an easier stadium security drill.
The Cherries Supporters Trust asked United for some compensation for fans who had made the 500-mile return journey, but their request has been denied after discussions between both sides.
"We also took it to the Independent Football Ombudsman and we were disappointed with their response," said group chairman Tony Maycock.
"They mentioned what happened if the match was called off for bad weather. That is missing the point entirely. This was not something out of United's control and we are continuing to consider a class action.'
"You would think United would have learned their lessons.
"I saw they appointed a counter terrorism officer but you have had the two fans who slept in the ground and then the St Etienne game when the French fans smuggled dozens of flares in."
