Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham is being watched by Manchester United.
The 16 year-old prospect is a first team regular for the Blues this season, managing 19 appearances already - and scoring a first goal.
The Telegraph says United assistant manager Mike Phelan has made a personal check on Bellingham - and was impressed.
Phelan watched the 16-year-old last weekend as Birmingham suffered a 3-2 home defeat to West Brom, in which he started.
United sent Phelan to make a check on the livewire as he started on the left wing against the Baggies at St Andrew's.
While he was unable to help Birmingham pick up at least a share of the spoils, the appearance was the 19th of an impressive breakout campaign.
