Departing Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones said he could not turn down the opportunity to join Manchester United.
The 19-year old has signed an agreement with the Red Devils after passing a medical last week and will officially sign a deal when he returns from international duty with the England U21 team.
Jones posted on his Twitter page that the chance to join United was something he could not pass up.
"I'd just like to start off by saying that I've loved my time at Blackburn and I will always be a huge fan," tweeted Jones.
"But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am looking forward to a new challenge. Thank you for all your kind messages."
