Manchester United playmaker Donny van de Beek has hailed Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk as the best defender in the world.
Van Dijk, 28, missed out on playing for the Netherlands at Euro 2020 due to injury.
Asked if he believed his compatriot was the best in the world in his position, van de Beek told United legend Rio Ferdinand: "Yeah. He's really important for our team.
"We missed him in the Euros. I'm happy for him that he's back on the pitch.
"I know he worked really hard. It's not easy if you get that injury, but he looks good."
