Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek was spotted at Liverpool's Kirkby academy training ground yesterday.

Ajax's under-19 team were on Merseyside to meet the Reds in UEFA Youth League action - a tournament that mirrors the set-up of the Champions League.

Van de Beek was on hand to offer support to some of Ajax's young guns for the game as he was spotted at the Reds' academy ground.

He was pictured watching the game alongside former Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who was handed a role among the club's technical staff earlier this year.

The midfielder is a product of the club's academy before he went on to make 175 appearances, scoring 41 goals in all.

Oakley Cannonier scored a hat-trick as Liverpool won 4-0 on the day. Also in attendance was Reds legend Sir Kenny Dalglish.
