Manchester United midfielder Ben Pearson helped Barnsley return to winning ways as they thumped Swindon Town 4-1.
Pearson came up against Swindon's on-loan Liverpool ace Jordan Williams, fresh from Wales Euros' action, but was impressive in the rout.
“You have to respect the opposition. We certainly don't go into games fearing the opposition," said Barnsley boss Lee Johnson.
“You don't want to put the fear of God in your players about the opposition. You want them to be on the front foot but you've got to respect that when you play against a team like Swindon, that get 600 or 700 passes most games, that they are going to have some of the ball.
“So if you do start chasing around like headless chickens, they'll just pick you off.
“But they have got weaknesses and we had to make sure that we picked a team for our strengths but also to exploit their weaknesses." On goalscorer Conor Hourihane, Johnson added: “I thought Conor Hourihane was a massive catalyst in what we done today mentally. He didn't have the armband but he was a captain."
