Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay admits he is unsure how deep problems run at the club.
The Red Devils were unable to find their best form against a rampant Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League.
Despite going down early, United did level the score at 1-1 in the first half through Jadon Sancho.
However, City took control of the game with a 2-1 lead at half-time, going on to win 4-1 by the final whistle.
"From my point of view, it is difficult to see what has gone on today," McTominay told the BBC.
"It is incredibly disappointing if people think that [players giving up], it hurts.
"I have nothing to say about that [whether problems run deep at United], I am here to keep everyone together.
"Whatever goes on behind the scenes is irrelevant to me. Just concentrate on your own game."
