Man Utd midfielder McTominay receives Brighton goal boost

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been retrospectively awarded a goal in victory over Brighton.

The Scotland international's shot deflected off Davy Propper and into the net in the 19th minute, before the strike went down as an own-goal from the Brighton midfielder.

But United successfully appealed the award of the goal, which has eventually been given to McTominay following a decision by the Premier League's Goal Accreditation Appeals Panel.

McTominay has now netted three goals in 12 Premier League appearances so far during the 2018-19 campaign.

The midfielder picked up an ankle injury at the end of the Brighton win, forcing him to withdraw from Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
