Man Utd midfielder Lingard names Morrison & Pogba as best he's played with

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard labelled Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba as the best players he played with at youth level.

Lingard has been at the Old Trafford club for his entire career, joining their academy at eight years old, and has gone on to make more than 200 appearances for the first team.

Famed for their academy, United have brought through the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams in recent season, with all three playing a crucial role this year.

Asked which where the most talented players he played with at youth level, Lingard named two people.

"I would probably say Ravel Morrison and Paul Pogba," he said at a media event attended by Tribalfootball.com.

"Ravel was very technically gifted and had natural shooting and dribbling ability. He had everything in his locker. And with Paul, I have known him since he was 16 and he was big at that age and he has been maturing each year and you can see what kind of player he has turned out to be. He has gone on to win many trophies and a world cup."

Despite the reputation he developed at United, Morrison has seen his career stagnate in recent years and he is now on the books at Sheffield United.

Pogba, on the other hand, won four Serie A title during a stint at Juventus after leaving United, before rejoining the club in 2016.

The Frenchman also played a key role as his country won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
