Man Utd midfielder Herrera warns Liverpool to be ready for a fight

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has warned Liverpool that they will have a fight on their hands when the two clubs meet each other in the second leg of Europa League tie at Old Trafford on Thursday.

The Red Devils lost the first leg at Anfield 2-0, but the Spanish midfielder has claimed that United possess the fighting instincts necessary to overcome their arch rivals.

"We only have to think we have to beat Liverpool — and beat them 2-0 not 3-0 because we can do it in extra-time," he said.

"We don't think about conceding a goal, we think about making goals. For Liverpool, it is a different game and they shall see that.

"We want to make it a very difficult night for them. We are Manchester United and if they want to go to the quarter-finals they will have to fight.

"Since I was here we have played Liverpool five times and won four. The two times at home, we won clearly. I think we were the better team. When we play at home we feel stronger. We have more fans, the capacity is bigger and our fans are the best in England.

"It will be completely different. Old Trafford is different. The pitch is bigger, even the grass is better. It's another game, another challenge, and I think we're ready."
