Man Utd midfielder Herrera reveals his football idols...

Manchester United star Ander Herrera has explained that the likes of Gus Poyet and Nayim were his footballing idols growing up.

Herrera has established himself as one of the most crucial players in the United side over the past few months and he is certain to be vital if the Red Devils are to turn recent decent performances into wins.

In a quick Q&A with the United programme, Herrera has gone on to state that Poyet and Nayim were his idols during his academy days at Real Zaragoza and also explained that he looks up to other key midfielders including Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Paul Scholes and Juan Veron.

The Spanish international said: "I used to have a lot. I used to look at midfielders.

"I came from Real Zaragoza's academy so I had my own idols - maybe you know Gus Poyet and Nayim.

"But in general, of course, Iniesta, Xavi, Paul Scholes and Juan Sebastian Veron were amazing. I have a lot of good examples to look at."
