Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira is delighted with the playing chance he's received under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Pereira started United's season opener and notched an assist in that 4-0 victory over Chelsea and he admits in an interview with the Independent that Solskjaer has been hugely supportive.
“For me, it has been massive," he told the Independent.
“It's very important to me that he speaks highly about me and I just want to do my best on the pitch to show the faith back to him. It's very important for the young players to be given this confidence and, then if you have the chance, you have to take it with both hands."
Pereira is encouraged by the style of football being implemented by Solskjaer at United and is enjoying the opportunities that he wasn't necessarily afforded by former boss Jose Mourinho.
“We have a very positive way of playing now," he added.
“It's a style I like a lot. We're moving in the right direction and everyone has the same mindset so I think we can achieve great goals this season."
