Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is targeting Leicester City midfielder James Maddison for January.
The London Evening Standard says Foxes forward Maddison is now a top target for January or next summer after Solskjaer registered his interest.
Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James cost a combined £150m this summer.
England international Maddison has been a standout performer since signing from Norwich in 2018.
And it's suggested Solskjaer has decided he will continue to monitor his progress closely - along with a host of other Premier League clubs.
United have had a mixed start to the season, but Ed Woodward is willing to give him time to reshape the squad.
