Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign five players this summer.
United have a policy of usually adding two or three each summer, while losing a similar number.
However, Solskjaer knows that big changes are needed if they are to catch up with the other top six, not to mention challenging the top two in the league.
And the Evening Standard reports the United boss wants five players as it will let him improve every aspect of the team.
United want to sign a centre-back, right back, central midfielder, right winger and possibly a left winger as well.
Daniel James from Swansea is one firmly on their radar. The reports also claims that he will be signed shortly.
