Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists league position doesn't matter until the end of the season.

The Red Devils missed the chance to go six points ahead of Liverpool on top of the table after a goalless stalemate at Anfield on Sunday.

"It doesn't really matter where we are now, it matters where we are in May. We move on, carry on," Solskjaer said.

"We feel that we've developed and that is a good feeling with being disappointed to only get one point away."
